I was recently told by a close family friend “the light that I see shining in you I now see shining in my granddaughter,” and it got me thinking about the picture below. Her granddaughter is less than a year old so her heart is huge and full of love. She hasn’t experienced any heartache or pain. She hasn’t been let down, hurt, made fun of, none of that.
As we get older and go through these things life throws at us, we become more guarded and it’s harder for us to tap into that child-like version of ourself – the happiest version of ourself.
Well, I’m here to remind you that we were ALL children once! We ALL started this life with huge hearts full of love, living completely in the moment, not a care in the world and falling asleep happy. You might not remember those days but I promise, that “light” is still inside of you! Just like it is in me. For some it’s harder to find and my advice to you: smile often, laugh a lot, hug more, say please, say thank you, be silly, dance whenever you can, wave at people at stop lights, never pass up an opportunity to tell someone you love them and try to enjoy every single second you have on this Earth, just like children do!
